Fresh Organic ingredients grown on the estate make for a
fine blend of eleven cultures of traditional South African cuisine prepared
and served by
our team of friendly Xhosa staff lead by our experienced
and traveled Chef Zamikhaya Mgoswana.
All breakfasts are hearty South African breakfasts accompanied by freshly
baked scones or muffins each morning, a fresh fruit platter, a variety of
wholesome cereals, local creamy yoghurt and various flavours of filter coffee.
We serve sumptuous dinners ranging from R145.00 for a two
course meal to R165.00 for a three course meal. (Please
let us know if you have specific dietary requirements upon booking)

Thunzi Bush Lodge is proud to announce that our intimate restaurant is now open 7
days a week to the public. Even if you are not staying with us at Thunzi you are
most welcome to come and join us for breakfast or dinner.
Breakfast is served from 8:00 – 10:00 and dinner is served from 19:00 – 21:00.
Thunzi’s restaurant, “Zami’s Khaya,” has received a special mention for excellent
food by AA Travel and all our meals are perfectly and freshly prepared by our well
traveled and experienced Chef Zamikhaya Mgoswana.

Private Moonlight Dinner
Try our open air private dining experience at our forest clearing where you will be
exclusively served seated near a cosy fire surrounded by burning lanterns. While gazing
at the stars and milkwood canopy sounds of frogs and wood owls evoke a special evening
feeling known as an absolute “Mind Unwind”.

Experience some of Thunzi’s finest nature spots anywhere on the 44 hectare
estate while enjoying a gourmet basket of snacks together with your choice of wine.
For this experience we will supply you with a large blanket and picnic bag.
